Renee started her working career off in banking but moved over to public relations which she loved and excelled in. Being the creative soul that she is - she started collecting art in her early twenties - she eventually plucked up the courage to follow this passion wholeheartedly and bought a gallery in 1993 and subsequently specialised as a corporate art consultant in Cape Town. Soon after moving back to Gauteng due to family reasons she joined GIM and having a flair for languages as well as numbers she handles our FAIS web campaign enquiries, bookkeeping, credit control, editing of training material and anything else we throw her way. Renee is divorced with no children but she is compassionate about animals in trouble and is known far and wide for her love of all fauna and flora. For instance, she adopted a deaf and near blind Great Dane in 2014 who wasn’t given much hope for a long life but who is still alive and well and very happily living with her. Gardening is her way of coping with life’s stresses and strains and the ‘best anti-depressant’ to quote her. She is an ardent reader and has a huge collection of music from all genres as well as art-nouveau type movies. She also developed an art appreciation course which is currently on ice due to COVID-19
